Commissioning of the Rhine - Rhone HSL

The Rhine - Rhone HSL was commissionned on december 11th, 2011, at a service speed of 320 km/h.

Egis was one of the major actors of this project, as prime contractor of the civil engineering on the central section of 60 km, and of the rail equipments on the entire line, in partnership with Setec.
The design and follow-up of the rail equipments of a HSL left to private engineerings were a successful first experience, thanks to Egis' teams' skills and commitment.
This adventure started in 2002, with the agreement between the Bourgogne Franche Comté regional direction of RFF and the Scetauroute/Semaly consortium, untitled Egis Rail Rhin Rhône. The latter was at the origin of the creation of GIE Egis Rail in 2004, itself become in 2007 the foundations of the current Egis Rail subsidiary.
